Totals do not represent numbers on arrival at Inverness as a few passengers alighted at Dingwall. The most striking feature is the difference in number on the two dates - the Inverness College was closed on the first and open on the second.

Tain commuter train bus link
Catching the first run of the early bus link with the Tain commuter train at 6.50 a.m. in Dornoch's square are (left to right) - Andrew Mackenzie, Richard Butterworth, Councillor Duncan Allan, Kenneth Bromage, Henry Rowe and Frank Roach. The bus is operated by Rogart based McLeod's Coaches - the driver Stewart MacLeod. The bus runs from Lairg, Rogart, Golspie, Embo, Dornoch and Tain.
