Method:
Loaded wagons are taken to flow 50 weeks per annum, other than for perishables at 52 weeks per annum, and timber formed into 20 wagon trains x 35 per annum.
Shorter road mileages include Mossend - Glasgow (43), Georgemas - Doncaster via A1 (60), Kinbrace - Inverness (28), Grangemouth - Lairg (20).
A wagonload is taken as 20 tons.
