Membership Matters!

Especially At This Important Time In Scotland's Political & Railway History

Enclosed with the printed issue of the newsletter is an invitation to renew your membership if you haven't already done so. We will continue sending out these forms with every issue to give members a convenient way of encouraging their friends to join us, so please don't get confused and think that we don't realise that you have joined us. We will send you a reminder should that be the case!

If this issue of the newsletter has been your introduction to FoFNL we hope it will encourage you to support us politically if you were successful on the 1st May, or just privately, by taking out a membership.

Please do everything you can to increase our numbers so that we can convince the future operator of the line that we represent an important cross section of the public having an interest in the Far North Line.

It is with sadness that we report the death of another member, Tom Jacks, Ardersier and our sympathies are extended to his wife Sonia.

Way back in the issue of January 1996 a poem appeared under Tom's pen-name "Thomas the Rhymer". Space permitting, we will share the poem with you in the next newsletter..
