The Scammell Scarab delivery vehicles were ubiquitous on British Railways in the 1950s and 60s. Battery equivalents would be very useful now.
The name 'Scarab' and the vehicles' visual appearance suggest they were named after the Scarab Beetle; disappointingly the name was actually coined by the manufacturer as a portmanteau of Scammell and the Arab horse which the 'Mechanical Horse' replaced for British Railways.
