Winter Evening Meeting

A meeting for members has been arranged for Friday 4 March when Syd Atkinson will reminisce with us about operating the Highland lines in the seventies and eighties including the snow blockages of 1978. Syd was Movements Manager at Inverness, in charge of Inverness "Control" and later became Area Manager. He is a fascinating raconteur with lots of stories to tell.

The meeting will be held in the lounge of Crown Church, Inverness from 19.30 to 21.30. Crown Church is at the top of Stephen's Brae above the Eastgate Centre. The church is at the junction with Midmills Road and Kingsmills Road. There is a small public car park on Kingsmills Road between the church and Crown Primary School. The lounge is in the low building adjacent to the car park and that (garden) entrance to the church premises should be used.

The summer excursion is being planned to Dunrobin possibly on Saturday 18th June. Confirmation of the date and further details in the May newsletter.
